Meta Ads Versus Alternatives

From x.com/ariesnotebook

I have made brief comparisons and comments about paid advertising, organic activity, and competing ad platforms, without presenting a measured comparison that settles which approach is best. My views on advertising experimentation are also reflected in never stop testing ads.

On November 14, 2025, I said that the argument for organic sellers offering lower prices—and ads requiring higher prices to remain profitable—made sense in theory. In practice, I claimed ads get higher conversion rates because they target purchasers. I gave no conversion data, prices, or profitability figures, so this was a qualitative claim rather than a measured comparison.

On January 2, 2026, I asked, “What’s is better Google ads or Facebook ads?” I did not state a preference, identify a campaign objective or audience, or provide evidence that either platform performs better.

On February 26, 2026, I wrote that TikTok ads were starting to look good. The same post quoted @herrmanndigital, who said Meta was getting rid of credit-card payments for DTC brands and argued that this would cause headaches for brands using credit cards for 3% cash back. That payment-change claim and criticism were @herrmanndigital’s, not mine; I did not say I was switching platforms. My positive comment about TikTok sits alongside my broader interest in meta s ad platform keeps improving, but does not amount to a decision to leave Meta.
