I commented on a report about Saudi Arabia loosening alcohol rules, while treating its policy details as claims quoted from @WhaleInsider, who attributed the report to Bloomberg.
The quoted post said non-Muslim foreign residents earning over 50,000 riyals ($13,300) could buy alcohol. I reacted to the reported income requirement, but did not independently verify the report.
On December 8, 2025, I said, “Gotta have an income to drink,” and called the reported requirement “Lowkey smart.”
