In September 2026 my LinkedIn feed chronicled a series of hackathons and community events organized by WeMakeDevs in partnership with AWS, Datadog, CircleCI, Port.io and others. The focus was the Bharat Builds Tour—starting with the Bengaluru “First Commit” hackathon and continuing with the Delhi “Environmental Hacks” event. I also posted about a New York AI‑agents meetup and a Zero Downtime hackathon in San Francisco.
First Commit saw 16,000+ registrations online and 1,400+ builders at the offline Build Day.
Environmental Hacks offered a prize pool of ₹20 lakh total and granted fast‑track Amazon interview slots to the top 10 students.
We'll select 5 blog posts, and each winner will receive AirPods.
Environmental Hacks is open to students across India and runs online from October 8–11, with an offline Build Day at DTU, Delhi on October 10.
Zero Downtime was a full day of turning ideas into working projects in San Francisco.
Open Source in Production is happening at the Datadog office, hosted by WeMakeDevs, Qodo, Port.io and CircleCI.
