I’m interested in Shopify’s immersive real-world experiences, from interactive installations at SphereVegas to retail experiences that blend entertainment and commerce. My reactions are distinct from the quoted claims and project details shared by other people.
On November 29, 2024, I wrote, “Shopify is so cool.” I was quoting @tobi, who said a BFCM experience was live at SphereVegas, described it as “truly live,” and said the Sphere could be powered by Unreal Engine. @tobi also described people ordering from their phones and seeing an order arc in front of them, and said they decided to bring the experience to the Sphere “so of course we had to go there.” Those project details and the rationale were @tobi’s, not mine. The post included a video link.
On November 28, 2025, I wrote, “Shopify is goated.” I was quoting @tobi, who said the Live Globe was back at SphereVegas, used 100% live data, and was rendered in real time with threejs, React, and shaders. The technology and live-data claims were @tobi’s, not my independent report. The post also included the countdown “3…2…1…” and a link. My praise reflects my broader positive view of Shopify in praise and optimism for shopify.
On December 20, 2025, I predicted, “Shopify IRL experiences are gonna be big.” I was quoting @harleyf, who described Netflix House Dallas as a 100,000-square-foot experience combining entertainment and commerce, with visitors walking through Stranger Things and playing Squid Game. @harleyf said immersive experiences require invisible technology and described Shopify POS mobile technology as letting staff meet fans without counters or bottlenecks. Those venue and POS details were @harleyf’s, not my own implementation claims. The quoted post was truncated after “Just a seamless flo”. This retail direction relates to new ways to sell on shopify.
