I see ecommerce as a field with growing opportunity, and I increasingly associate that potential with AI, though my posts do not explain the specific developments behind these impressions.
On October 13, 2026, I argued that the total addressable market for ecommerce is going up exponentially with the advent of personal AI agents, and said it is a great time to dream big. I did not quantify the market, explain the basis for the exponential-growth claim, or specify a timeframe.
On 2025-03-26, I wrote, “Things are getting so good for ecom. Truly wild.” I linked to https://t.co/YkuRd3TYHV, but the post did not say what the link covered or which developments I meant.
On 2025-09-26, I wrote, “Ecom is getting so good with AI.” I offered no examples, products, or specific results to explain the positive assessment.
On 2025-12-04, I described ecommerce with AI as “so chill.” I did not specify which uses of AI I had in mind or why they felt that way.
On 2026-03-28, I called Evolve unbelievable and said 20-year-olds were doing 100 mil a year. I argued that the startup world sleeps on “ecom kids,” and compared that success with a multi billion net worth in Silicon Valley. I said the AI era felt like a new golden age. These were my comments; the post did not identify the young founder or provide evidence for the earnings comparison.
The Evolve post also quoted @bencronister, who described meeting someone doing over 100 mil a year at 20 and called the event beautiful so far. Ben wrote that he felt “super gay and poor” and credited people he had met with helping make their achievements possible; these were Ben’s words, not mine.
On April 3, 2026, I called AI-driven change a “Physical product renaissance cuz of AI.” I did not explain what this renaissance means or how AI is causing it.
On August 18, 2026, I predicted that “This generation of AI-enabled ecom savages is gonna take over the world.” I did not define who I meant or explain how or when this might happen.
On August 25, 2026, I wrote, “Ecom feels incredibly good right now with AI.” I reflected that things had been very different a couple of years earlier, without specifying what had changed.
On September 23, 2026, I said that to win in ecommerce “right now you really have to be ai-maxing.” I did not define what practices ai-maxing involves.
