In October 2026 I posted a series of short X replies that riff on cloud capacity, AI model usage, and how venture‑capital funding labels no longer map cleanly to dollar amounts.

AWS rents about half of its data centers.

Seed rounds can be equally $5, 50m or 500m.

Modern startups often need hundreds of millions to test their ideas.

I also noted that the market is getting more complex, with emerging ventures targeting chips, networking, memory, software infrastructure, biotech, and more.

While most people consider Anthropic an AI company, I wondered what if it’s actually a cloud.

These observations nudged me to rethink infrastructure economics and funding dynamics across the tech landscape.
