I am exploring early-stage AI investments in the US and researching the challenges of investing directly in foreign startups from India.
In June 2025, while based around San Francisco, I said I was looking to back tech-driven AI companies building real innovation rather than fluff. I was open to flying anywhere across the US and invited founders to contact me by DM or WhatsApp. I described Elon Musk as a man with nothing to lose, perpetually unsatisfied, honest or unfiltered, and willing to break things to build what matters; I said his perceived madness mattered more to me than Trump's so-called genius. I also mentioned watching The Apprentice and learning what I called Trump's three “stolen” rules from Roy, without identifying Roy or specifying the rules.
My stated investment target was 3 AI companies.
I said my target companies would be pre-Series A and building real innovation (not fluff).
I stated a cheque size of $10K–$100K; I reported no completed investment in that post.
In July 2025, I described direct investment into foreign startups from India as difficult because of FEMA regulations, bank paperwork, delays, and the effect of tax collected at source on cash flow. I was doing my own research and asked others to share practical tips or war stories; I did not state a solution or report a completed investment.
I cited the LRS $250K limit as one obstacle to investing abroad from India.
I said 20% TCS was eating into cash flow.
I recounted that one investor gave up after 6 months on a €2K deal.
