In October 2026 I posted a series of updates on LinkedIn covering hiring, accelerator applications, interview insights, hub strategy, and the evolution of 16VC.

- Junior Analyst Hiring: Coffee‑on‑Us event in Bengaluru on Oct 10, 2026; compensation ₹8–25 L CTC; open to recent grads or 1–2 yr experience; role includes sourcing, founder calls, research, memos, due diligence, and investment judgment.
- Accelerator Overview: $200k post‑money SAFE for ~6 % equity; 3‑month program; no fee; locations San Francisco, New York, London.
- Interview Insights: 7/10 candidates could NOT define a SAFE; 0/10 could define an SPV.
- Geographic Hub Strategy: Bengaluru hub share 7.0 % vs London 6.9 % (0.1 % lead); decision to prioritize Bengaluru.

My investment philosophy remains that great founders matter more than perfect markets, speed of learning beats speed of fundraising, distribution is harder than product, and long‑term trust compounds faster than short‑term hype.

- Technical switch: "the first 10 minutes didn’t go as planned, and we had to switch from youtube live to google meet."
- Engagement: we ended up answering 100+ questions during the virtual coffee chat.
- Emphasis on teaching basic VC terms (SAFE, term sheet, cap table, dilution, valuation, pre‑seed, seed).
- Applications closed Oct 4, 2026 with >1,000 applications; geographic breakdown – USA 27.8 %, India 19.9 %, UK 10.2 %, Nigeria 6.8 %, Canada 3.1 %.
- Funnel levels L1–L5 defined as revenue + scaling (L1) down to idea stage (L5).
- ~30 standout companies identified; I will select 25 spots, possibly pulling deeper into L2–L5.
- Team composition at the time: 1 assistant, 1 marketing person, a few scouts, advisors, and me (GP).
