At pre‑seed, a VC isn't evaluating your product. they're evaluating you.

VCs look in a founder for audacity, grit, agency, clarity and the unfair advantage they may have.

then comes the market.

and before any VC writes a cheque, they need to believe 3 things:

this will be a large outcome

you're the best team to build it

and, now is the right time
