# Decision Making Process

I pick the idea that extends something I've already built.

I chose DevSwarm over two other pitched ideas (ResearchSwarm and SecureSwarm) partly because it reuses the multi-agent, Qdrant and FastAPI pattern from CodeSense.

I build free of cost wherever I can, with local clusters, open-source scanners and free-tier LLMs, and I'm upfront about what's simulated versus real.

I also don't trust claims I can't verify: the literature-review citations in my v1.0 EcoFeast report may not all be real, so I won't reuse them in a paper without checking each one.

My overall decision framework focuses on extending existing work, keeping tooling cost‑free, being transparent about simulation, and rigorously verifying external citations before reusing them.
