In May 2024 I shared two LinkedIn posts that blend personal health experiences with a strategic framework for handling Black Swan events. The first post describes my ice‑bath experience on a beach, and the second outlines the Thailand Policy Lab’s five‑pronged approach to unforeseen crises.
I experienced an ice bath on a beach and found it to be "intense cold shock" that left me feeling "incredibly refreshed and energized," confirming the benefits of "reducing muscle soreness and boosting circulation."
Companies like WHOOP and Ultrahuman illustrate a growing shift toward "prevention, restoration, revitalization" in health‑wellness, prompting me to ask whether this trend will become mainstream in India.
The Thailand Policy Lab proposes a Black Swan framework with five prongs: Anticipation and Awareness; Adaptive Planning; Resilience Building; Collaboration and Communication; Innovation and Creativity.
I pose four open questions: will restorative health journeys become mainstream in India, how will that reshape investment strategies, how can organizations implement each of the five prongs, and what metrics should leaders track to gauge anticipation, resilience, and innovation.
