In December 2025 I posted a series of LinkedIn updates that synthesize my observations on capital, distribution, sustained attention, founder momentum signals, the small‑loop principle, founder experience, data discipline, ecosystem design, patient capital, and category creation, especially as they relate to the Indian market.

Capital is often mistaken for conviction.

Distribution is strategy.

The ability to keep showing up to the unglamorous work.

The biggest trap founders fall into is confusing motion with momentum.

Motion is meetings. Momentum is a number that moves every week for the same reason.

If the explanation needs ten caveats, three market tailwinds, and a story about how the category is about to explode, the business is usually being carried by hope.

Strengthen that loop until it becomes boring.

Boring is good.

Second time founders move faster, hire smarter, understand capital usage better, and stay calm when pressure rises.

Data helps you scale.

India’s mass market has entered a new chapter.

Patient capital delivers: Better founder decision making, Stronger culture, Compounding advantages, Reduced pressure for artificial growth.

India now hosts over 100 unicorns with a combined valuation exceeding US 360 billion. Their post‑money valuations are typically 3×–10× higher than comparable peers, and the average time to reach unicorn status has stretched to 11 years in 2024, up from about 5.5 years a year earlier. Deal volumes and average round sizes fell noticeably in 2023.

I decided to prioritize sustained, unglamorous work, adopt the small‑loop metric, invest in patient, multi‑year capital, design ecosystem policy to enable pension‑fund participation in venture, and focus on category creation rather than competing in existing categories.
