In April 2023 I published a series of LinkedIn posts that captured my thoughts on responsible entrepreneurship, the rapid growth of the Indian startup ecosystem, the inaugural Sharrp Summit, and my personal ten‑year vegan journey.
I strongly believe that we have a personal responsibility to build businesses that go beyond just making money.
Over the last 8 years, Sharrp Ventures has invested in early‑stage, high‑risk start‑ups and seen the evolution of these companies to become highly successful like Nykaa, Mamaearth, and Mcaffiene.
The event saw an audience of over 200 early‑stage entrepreneurs from the consumer and consumer‑tech industries.
This summit promises to be a game‑changer, with over 20 distinguished speakers and 8 power‑packed sessions covering a wide range of topics related to business and entrepreneurship.
The first edition of the Sharrp Summit was held on 18 April 2023 at the Taj Lands End, running from 9 am‑7 pm, invite‑only, with over 20 speakers across 8 sessions and an audience of more than 200 founders.
We partnered with D2C Insider for outreach, used an application link (https://lnkd.in/ddSguCiJ) to ensure committed participants, and amplified the event through features in Entrepreneur India, Business Today, plus a podcast on Spotify (https://lnkd.in/e7-zm_mS) and interview (https://lnkd.in/d42hDubG).
I have been vegan for 10 years, inspired by Singapore’s plant‑based food scene for health, environmental, and ethical reasons.
