I think I sometimes expect myself to know more than I actually do.
I have a picture in my head of how I want something to turn out, and when reality doesn't match that picture, I get frustrated.
I've had moments while building projects where I completely questioned my approach.
But interestingly, once I finally get something working, I forget how frustrating the journey was.
Maybe my biggest blind spot is that I'm so focused on where I want to reach that I forget how far I've already come.
I reflect on my personal traits, challenges, and aspirations to guide my growth and keep my behavior aligned with my values.
- I.personality_traits = friendly, observant, competitive
I.main_difficulty = unrealistic expectations
I.emotional_response = frustration when my current technical skills can't match the vision I have in my head
I.interpersonal_tendency = trusting people blindly because I remember how it feels when someone with authority acts cold
I.goal = avoid arrogance if success is achieved
- How can unrealistic expectations be calibrated to align with current skill levels?
- What concrete steps can be taken to evaluate trustworthiness without defaulting to blind trust?
- What indicators will signal the onset of arrogance, and how can they be mitigated?
