In late September 2026 I posted a series of updates on X about Vercel Connect, the new **fx** v0.0.12 release, and the AI SDK reaching 30 M weekly downloads. I highlighted how Connect can expose services to a massive developer audience, how the fx upgrade makes session listing dramatically faster, and how the AI SDK’s adoption correlates with lower defect rates.

I decided to adopt Vercel Connect to avoid the “static credentials… massive liability” situation, upgrade to fx v0.0.12 for the productivity boost, and leverage the AI SDK’s momentum for marketing. The onboarding flow is: describe the service, add OAuth or API‑key auth, verify with a real token, and submit for review.
