Linkedin 2026 September Posts

From linkedin.com/in/rajshamani

In late September 2026 I posted a series of short LinkedIn‑style notes covering oil production, fossil‑fuel economics, work‑time inefficiency, Gen Z retirement expectations, early‑stage startup validation, private‑jet costs, charisma techniques, and motivation resilience.

The United States pumps more oil than any other country, more than Saudi Arabia or Russia, and it also produces more natural gas than anyone else.

Sumant Sinha explained that the US keeps leaning into fossil fuels because the domestic fossil‑fuel business is enormous and profitable, so “doubling down on oil and gas makes economic sense for them.”

Gen Z respondents average a desired retirement age of 54, whereas their grandparents averaged 71.

Operating a single private jet costs roughly ₹25 crore per year, most of which is “air time” when the jet flies empty.

  • Decision – Early‑stage evaluation: I will adopt Asish Mohapatra’s three‑day ultra‑easy milestone framework to flag bad ideas within the first three days.

These posts link to longer conversations or articles where I dive deeper into each topic.

  • Decision – Charisma training: I will shift my conversational attention outward rather than monitoring my own image, following Robert Greene’s advice.
  • Decision – Retirement planning: I will prioritize building financial independence early so I can aim for retirement around age 54.
  • Decision – Fossil‑fuel policy view: I recognize that U.S. policy sustains fossil‑fuel production primarily because of immediate profit incentives.
