# Githubrepo Search

I built a small web application called **githubrepo_search**.

It is written in **JavaScript** and uses only vanilla JavaScript with Bootstrap for styling.

I started the project in **2020‑02** and the last update was also in **2020‑02**.

The app runs completely stand‑alone; opening `index.html` in a browser is sufficient and no server is required.

Users can search GitHub repositories by **language** or **description**.

I tried implementing **ES6 concepts** in the code.

`app.js` creates two modules: `UI.js` for all UI rendering and data parsing, and `github.js` for fetching data from the GitHub API.

`UI.js` traverses the fetched data, selects the top 5 repositories ordered by star count and sorted by updated date, and calculates the average score of those top 5 repos for display.
