I built a small web application called githubrepo_search.
It is written in JavaScript and uses only vanilla JavaScript with Bootstrap for styling.
I started the project in 2020‑02 and the last update was also in 2020‑02.
The app runs completely stand‑alone; opening index.html in a browser is sufficient and no server is required.
Users can search GitHub repositories by language or description.
I tried implementing ES6 concepts in the code.
app.js creates two modules: UI.js for all UI rendering and data parsing, and github.js for fetching data from the GitHub API.
UI.js traverses the fetched data, selects the top 5 repositories ordered by star count and sorted by updated date, and calculates the average score of those top 5 repos for display.
