In January 2026 I captured two LinkedIn observations: a quotation from Jensen Huang redefining “smart” and a personal note on the difficulty of building on‑chain social applications.
the definition of smart is very different than what most people think.
Jensen Huang argues that traditional technical problem‑solving is becoming a commodity because AI makes it easy, and he expands “smart” to include technical astuteness, human empathy, and the ability to infer unspoken, “around‑the‑corner” information.
onchain social is now 10x harder to build.
I maintain that Twitter cannot compete with a permissionless, self‑custody on‑chain social graph that uses an open‑source client.
that person might actually score horribly on the SAT.

These observations shape my continued belief in the superiority of permissionless on‑chain social graphs over centralized platforms like Twitter.
