In April 2024 I posted a short LinkedIn note that quoted Steve Jobs on hiring philosophy and promoted minting personal values on the ValuesDAO platform. I reflected on the importance of probing the “meta-data” behind interview answers and aligning personal and organizational values as a foundation for building trillion‑dollar enterprises.
When Steve Jobs was asked about his hiring philosophy, he said: ”I ask everybody: 'Why are you here?' The answers themselves are not what you're looking for. It's the meta-data.”
Value alignment is what built trillion-dollar companies.
