# Patient Capital

I observed a stark contrast in India’s fintech landscape: while overall fintech adoption is extremely high, participation in investment products remains very low. This gap defines a patient‑capital opportunity to build solutions that shift users from frequent payments toward regular investing.

India’s fintech adoption is 87%.

The global average fintech adoption is 67%.

More than 6,386 fintech startups have launched in India in the last decade.

Actual participation in investment products remains in the single digits.

Decision: I will prioritize building investment‑focused fintech solutions rather than duplicating payment‑focused products, leveraging the habit of daily money movement on smartphones to seed investment habits. The challenge is “quiet, slower to show results,” so incentives and education are essential to shift behavior.
