# Github Code Review Workflow

I adopted GitHub’s Code Review and Pull Request workflow to keep code moving and the main branch green.

GitHub reports **43M+** pull requests merged across the platform.

GitHub reports **82M+** commits pushed across the platform.

GitHub reports **10M+** new repositories created on the platform.

- I use **stacked pull requests** to break large changes into smaller, connected PRs.

Andy Merryman, CTO at TED, noted that “by breaking large changes into small, dependency‑ordered pieces, review happens in smaller logical chunks—not just faster pull request reviews, but more accurate ones.”

- I enable a **merge queue** so ready PRs are re‑checked against the latest `main` before merging.
- I configure **rulesets** organization‑wide to enforce branch protection and linear history.
- I triage reviews using the **pull‑request inbox** view.
- I invoke **GitHub Copilot** during review for AI‑generated summaries and suggestions.
