# Campus Market Android

I built Campus Market, a beginner‑friendly Android marketplace app from scratch using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and host it on GitHub under @nikhil9622.

The app was started in October 2026 and last updated in October 2026.

I use Java 17 (setting `JAVA_HOME` to the JDK path) together with the repository’s Gradle wrapper to build the project.

Listings are persisted locally with `SharedPreferences` to keep the project simple and avoid a full database.

I wrote unit tests covering search and category‑filtering functionality.

This is an independent learning project and does not use the Ecommerce Compose source code.
