I introduced WTF: Discourse as a response to an internet that increasingly rewards anger, loudness, and certainty. I suggested that intelligence may involve understanding why the other side believes what it believes, and quoted F. Scott Fitzgerald on holding opposed ideas in mind while retaining the ability to function.

In the post, I also described the internet as rewarding not just anger, loudness, and certainty, but often the stupider side.

I designed the format around two people who genuinely believe opposing ideas: present the strongest version of both arguments, declare no winner, and let the audience decide what to believe without feeling a need to pick a side.

- Season 1 topics include MBAs, startups, sport, art, influencers, capitalism, and civic behaviour.

I said more experts and moderators would join later episodes and invited suggestions for guests. The announcements do not specify the guests, episode count, or a winner-selection or moderation procedure.
