Seeing Waymo cars all over the place, even in India, made me wonder whether they are a stronger testament to radar or LiDAR technology than to AI. I asked whether a computer’s faster reaction time than a human’s should make computer driving more sensible when random things suddenly enter the road, where reaction speed matters.
