After spending a full day with India’s brightest people under age 25, I felt like an idiot. I thought this generation was much smarter than mine, and felt confident that India would be fine if this was new India. The experience made me realize I should spend less time running around doing random meetings and more time with these young people.
On Independence Day in 2023, I said it was a good time to reflect on how far India had come, adding that half of the American contingent “here” was also “us” and that we were just getting started. I wished everyone a happy Independence Day. The post does not clarify what group or contingent I meant, or who I was with.
