# Debating Whether Stocks Are Expensive

On 2021-05-18, I shared an insight comparing stock market capitalisation of countries and companies, then asked, “Which Country/Company would you bet on for the next decade and why?”

On 2021-11-10, I said I did not think @StocksUpdate365 should be buying “us” at a 100 times either, because that was too expensive; the capture does not clarify what “us” or “100 times” refers to.

I said India is not cheap relative to historical price multiples, without specifying which multiples, historical period, or data source I meant.
