Lead Generation Is A System

From x.com/nehakathare

My three‑step lead pipeline is: Attract attention → Capture leads → Follow up automatically.

I noticed the pipeline was broken – I was constantly chasing clients and felt the system wasn’t working. After I applied the simple three‑step system, "Business becomes predictable."

I reject the "post and hope" approach as a hobby; a real lead‑gen system requires a target, a message, a repeatable follow‑up process, and measurement.

If your lead gen strategy is "post and hope," that's not a strategy. That's a hobby.

I don’t have a lead‑generation system—I rely on referrals and organic inquiries. (2026-08-08 17:05 UTC) This reminded me that my acquisition is still ad‑hoc.

On 2026‑08‑05 at 18:01 UTC I asked: “Can anyone say how will you find hot leads ?” – a prompt seeking advice on lead‑generation tactics.

I posted a teaser promising to reveal a lead‑generation method, linking to https://t.co/BEVPylpB0n to spark discussion.

Current client‑acquisition methods for IT agencies are limited to three: referrals (inconsistent, stop when a client leaves), manual LinkedIn outreach (10+ hours/week, low reply rates), and cold bought lists (stale data, 40% bounce rate). All three are non‑scalable and not a real pipeline. I’m working on a fourth way.

manual_linkedin_hours = 10+ hours/week

cold_list_bounce_rate = 40%

I observed that our pipeline went dry not because of market conditions but because we stopped the unglamorous outreach once it stopped feeling exciting, reminding me to keep routine outreach regardless of enthusiasm.

I realized the apparent lead shortage is actually a symptom of a disorganized workflow with dozens of tabs open, no system, and everything stored in memory.

You don't have a lead problem.

You have a 47-tabs-open, no-system, doing-everything-by-memory problem that's disguised as a lead problem.
