# Retail Sales Github

I created the **retail-sales** repository on GitHub under my handle @malavika0819. It is a full‑stack Retail Sales Management System built with a React.js frontend and a Spring Boot Java backend, started in December 2025 and last updated in May 2026.

The repository is named retail‑sales.

I own the repo under the GitHub handle @malavika0819.

Project development began in December 2025 and the latest commit was in May 2026.

I chose React.js for the UI to deliver a responsive, component‑based front‑end.

I selected Spring Boot for the back‑end to provide a secure, enterprise‑grade REST API.

Maven is the build tool I use for dependency management and reproducible builds.

MySQL stores the persistent data for the application.

The front‑end source lives in the Frontend/ directory and is built with standard React tooling.

The back‑end source lives in the backend/ directory and is built with Maven (`mvn clean install`).
