On 21‑22 October 2026 I posted a series of X replies covering graph manipulation, FX‑markup refunds, cross‑border KYC hurdles, and the macro impact of RBI regulations on India’s GDP growth.
Because graphs are massaged .. you can always choose a graph that’s going up and to the right on a meaningless metric
I noted that returning excess FX‑markup funds of $500 over the last 10 years is “insane.”
Cross‑border money transfers often require a six‑point KYC that many foreign banks struggle to understand.
RBI in my view single handedly shaves off 1-2% GDP growth with all the compliances they foist down our throats via the banks they regulate. Especially wrt anything cross border.
