# Confluencr Github

I built Confluencr, a Python FastAPI service for a transaction ledger, hosted on my GitHub @Eshaj20.

The repository name is Confluencr and it is written in Python.

Initial commit was in 2026‑10 and the last update was also in 2026‑10.

It implements a Transaction Ledger API using FastAPI and PostgreSQL.

The service is deployed on AWS ECS Express Mode with the container image stored in Amazon ECR.

The database connection string `DATABASE_URL` is read from AWS Secrets Manager.

API pagination is limited to a page size of 100 and requests beyond the last page return an empty list.

Idempotency is enforced by a UNIQUE (account_id, reference_id) constraint, returning a 409 with original transaction details on duplicates.

Monetary amounts are stored as NUMERIC(14,2) / Decimal, never as floating point.

Concurrency is managed with SELECT … FOR UPDATE row‑level locks, and transfers lock both account rows in ID order to avoid deadlocks.

The test suite passes 33 tests covering validation, duplicate submissions, insufficient balance, pagination, sorting, transfers, rollback, and concurrent debits.
