# Efficiency Vs Hard Work Narrative Bias

I noticed a common bias where stories celebrate suffering over efficiency. I illustrated this with two fictional characters who achieved the same result but followed very different work patterns.

Person A works 80 hours a week, misses dinner, sleeps badly, and spends three months on the problem.

Person B finds a better approach, asks for help, and gets there in 30 hours.

Hard work matters, but difficulty isn’t a performance metric.
