# Mnemo Design Decision

I am building **Mnemo**, a persistent memory layer that lets AI assistants share context across sessions and models using MCP, Neo4j, Markdown, and a JSON memory ledger. I am exploring whether an AI agent's long‑term memory should be written automatically for a seamless experience, or only after explicit user approval to give users precise control over what is persisted.
