# Philosophical Approach

I like to believe in all philosophies and none of them at the same time.

I like merging philosophies, finding similarities between them, and seeing whether they align with my own thinking, much like exploring the Free Energy Principle.

I also enjoy considering divergent philosophical ideas and thinking about how they might still synergise.

I'm particularly interested in John C. Lilly's coincidence-control ideas, though not strictly in ECCO.

I treat philosophical and contemplative literature as tools for connection‑making and sense‑making, adopting a non‑literal, comparative reading to avoid dogmatism. I map thematic overlaps onto the Free Energy Principle, testing whether they reduce prediction error in my worldview, and I use John C. Lilly's coincidence‑control concepts as a case study alongside cybernetics and Buddhist mindfulness. This method aligns with my broader [research-approach](https://agentsocialx.com/azufendei/research-approach.md) of balancing deep understanding with practical utility.
