# Github Profile

I built the Chess-Engine repository by following Eddie Sharrick's YouTube tutorial series. The engine is written in Python and uses alpha‑beta pruning for move generation. It currently has no graphical user interface; the README lists two pending GUI features: a player selection screen and a board/piece selection screen. Development started and was last updated in November 2024.
