In early February 2025 I ramped up promotion of Polytrade’s “DIBS” on X. The rollout was staged: a whitelist opened on 10 Feb, a beta launch followed on 9 Feb, and the public launch was slated for 12 Feb. An AMA was announced for 5 Feb with multiple time‑zone slots to engage the community. Alongside the product push I also posted political commentary and personal anecdotes, mixing market‑talk with memes and travel‑price analogies.

I noted that "Options on RWA assets is something that is rare."

In February 2025 I used X (formerly Twitter) as @Polytrade_fin to promote Polytrade Fin’s “DIBS” – a fee‑based option that lets users lock a future price on tokenized real‑world assets (RWAs) and walk away risk‑free if the market falls, contrasting it with leveraged trades that can be liquidated.

- DIBS Concept: Pay a small fee to lock in a future purchase price for an RWA or token; if price rises you profit, if it falls you only lose the fee – no liquidations.
- Risk/Reward Comparison: Leverage trading borrows money, offers high upside but carries liquidation risk; DIBS offers limited downside (the fee) and upside proportional to price movement.
- Example ETH dOption (7‑day): Lot Size 2 ETH, Premium $200, Breakeven $2100. Profit scenarios: $200 at $2000, $400 at $1900, $600 at $1800.
- Example SOL DIBS: Buy for $150, price to $300 → profit = (300‑250) × 50 ‑ 150 = $2 350 (≈ 16×).
- Two‑Token Problem in RWAs: Distinguish asset‑backed tokens (real wealth) from speculative native tokens (gamble).
- Marketing Decision: Promote DIBS over leverage to highlight lower‑risk exposure and avoid liquidation risk.
- Tone: Use urgency (“Grab your 7‑day dibs now!”, “It’s $TIME for Dibs”) and highlight upside without downside.
