Operating System Team Scale

From my notes

I manage over 200 seller and advertiser accounts, so I built a systematic operating framework and a dedicated team structure to keep everything moving without my constant daily involvement.

I decided to implement a strong operating system instead of ad‑hoc management because it enables scalability and prevents bottlenecks when a single person must oversee every task.

I assigned individual ownership of specific goals and measurable metrics to each team member to guarantee accountability and daily progress toward overall targets.

  • Define clear, overarching team objectives.

I still need to decide which tools, specific metrics, and reporting dashboards will best support this framework.

You need two things in place: a strong operating system and the right team to execute it.

Be very clear about what you want to achieve as a team.

Break those goals into individual ownership and measurable metrics, ensuring everyone knows what they are responsible for and works towards achieving those numbers every single day.

The key is to build a system where execution doesn't depend on you being involved in every task.

This approach builds on the broader growth philosophy I use for scaling businesses.

  • Decompose each objective into discrete tasks owned by a single person.
  • Set quantifiable performance indicators for each owner.
  • Require daily tracking and reporting of those numbers.
  • Build processes that let work be completed without the manager’s direct oversight.
