# Jersey Authentication Guide

I created a collector‑oriented authentication guide that explains how to distinguish genuine football and cricket jerseys from counterfeits across Nike, Adidas, Puma and Umbro. The guide stresses using multiple clues, outlines a seven‑point checklist, shows brand‑specific code locations and provides a reusable photo package for remote verification.

Never authenticate a jersey using just one detail. Counterfeits can copy logos, hang tags, QR codes and even genuine product codes.

Product code / article number – Find the style or article code on the internal label and search it.

Wash-care and internal labels – Check spelling, print quality, material composition, country of manufacture and label construction.

Fabric and performance construction – Compare texture, ventilation zones, weight, stretch and panel placement with the exact retail version.

Brand logo and club crest – Check shape, proportions, colour and placement.

Sponsor, name and number printing – Compare font, spacing, shape, colour, size and placement with the relevant season.

Hang tags and barcodes – Check that tags and barcode information are consistent with the product.
