I attended the MongoDB .local Mumbai event on 2026‑10‑23, where I saw three major product launches up close.

MongoDB 9.0 – the new engine powering Atlas, Enterprise Advanced, and Community Edition. Now generally available. Faster transactions. Faster updates.

Atlas Infinite – compute and storage, finally separated. Built to scale from prototype to petabyte and handle bursty AI workloads. The existing Atlas offering is now called Atlas Core.

Atlas Agent Engine – run AI agents in production with execution, memory, and governance on the same platform as your data. Any model. Any framework. Any cloud.

MongoDB is betting that the agent layer should live right next to your data, and that’s a bet worth watching.
