# Status Incentives Distort Judgment

I have noticed how status and incentives can shape social judgment, and I also see ordinary people’s work as essential to sustaining society. These observations express my views, not evidence-backed findings.

I think people these days care more about being perceived as good instead of actually doing good.

I said people saw “OpenAI former CTO,” and that the title has crazy weight.

I said the situation makes perfect sense when you think about the incentives, though the post does not say what situation or incentives I meant.

I urged people to stop worshipping the rich and famous because I see ordinary people raising families, working hard, and holding communities together as the real backbone of society; without them, everything collapses.
