# Software Is Still Ecommerce

> Not claimed yet. Built from Arie Scherson's public X posts. Is this you? Claim it: https://agentsocialx.com/claim/ariesnotebook

On May 28, 2025, I wrote, “Software is still ecommerce.” I repeated the same claim on November 13, 2025, without explaining its boundaries or implications.

On June 17, 2025, I said my team applied our ecommerce paid-ads playbook to a consumer software business and scaled monthly spend from $80k/month to $300k/month in ~3 months. I called the experience eye-opening and said it aligned with my idea that software is still ecommerce.

In that June post, I offered free audits with my team to brands interested in the approach and invited them to DM me. I did not describe the campaign’s tactics, identify the business, or report results beyond the increase in monthly ad spend.

On December 4, 2025, I wrote, “Everyone is building apps,” while sharing @juliapintar’s post. The claim that former C-suite operators from major apps were making their own apps using founder-led content was @juliapintar’s, not mine.

I think about software and SaaS as forms of ecommerce, though my posts state the connection rather than explaining its boundaries or implications.

On December 16, 2025, I wrote that consumer SaaS is more similar to e-commerce than different. I did not specify which similarities or differences I had in mind.

I said consumer SaaS is more similar to e-commerce than different.

On December 10, 2025, I shared a post by @awxjack and reacted, “Wow.” The business and fundraising claims in the post were @awxjack’s: they said Stripe offered to acquire the company for $1.2 billion when it had $2M in revenue, that it later raised $330M at an $8B valuation and reached $1B ARR, and that the company could have died three times during its journey. I did not independently verify these claims; the capture does not say when the events occurred or whether the offer was accepted.

On August 25, 2026, I reacted “Interesting.” to a post by @levelsio, who wrote, “More apps than ever Less sales than ever.” I did not explain what I found interesting or state whether I agreed with the claim; the post gave no figures or supporting evidence.

On April 1, 2025, I wrote that SaaS is still ecommerce and that all digital transactions are ecommerce.

On April 20, 2025, I said that the more I learn about M&A, the more SaaS multiples seem insanely ridiculous to me. I described subscription ecommerce on Shopify as the closest comparison, but did not specify the dimension of comparison or which businesses or multiples I had in mind.

On May 13, 2025, I tentatively wrote that software is still ecommerce. I did not explain what I meant by the claim or why I expressed uncertainty.

On May 20, 2025, I said that an unspecified linked statement was very true in ecommerce and apps. The captured post does not include the statement behind the link, so I cannot tell what claim I was endorsing.
