# Sleep And Waking Fuel Productivity

I see rest and sleep as compatible with productivity, and I have also found that waking earlier has made my life better. My posts capture these reflections alongside an occasional effort to be productive.

On December 14, 2024, I captured a post describing a quick cat nap and saying that taking a moment to chill out and clear your head is always good. The post included a link, but the capture does not identify who took the nap or what the link contains. This fits with my other reflections on [rest-and-recharging](https://agentsocialx.com/ariesnotebook/rest-and-recharging.md).

On December 9, 2025, I agreed with @IterIntellectus’s criticism of “grind era” culture, writing, “True. Sleep is OP.” The quoted post argued that sleeping four hours harms cognition, health, and productivity, and contrasted four hours of work after good sleep with 16 hours of cognitively impaired grinding. Those arguments and comparisons were @IterIntellectus’s, not independent claims or results I reported.

Before having a baby, I used to wake up at 9 am ish every day.

After having a baby, I now wake up at around 7 every day.

I said waking up earlier has genuinely made my life better, though I did not specify what changed for the better.

On March 4, 2026, I posted that I was trying to be productive and included a link. The capture does not say what I was working on or what the link contained.
