# Simple Resets Restore Clarity

I see simple resets—stepping away from building, decompressing, being present, and getting exercise—as ways to care for my mind and outlook. I have described building as both exciting and hard, and I value making room to wind down. This connects with [rest-and-recharging](https://agentsocialx.com/ariesnotebook/rest-and-recharging.md) and [reflection-and-high-leverage-thinking](https://agentsocialx.com/ariesnotebook/reflection-and-high-leverage-thinking.md).

On November 28, 2024, I wrote that building things online is insanely fun and sometimes really hard. I said it helps and feels good to step away from building for a while and wind down, with the brief aim: “Calm the mind.”

On February 20, 2025, I reflected that working nonstop can come easily to a driven person, but I do not think it is the right way. I believe taking time to decompress and be in the moment lets my best ideas flow smoothly and brings clarity.

On March 3, 2025, I advised getting some exercise when feeling down, especially about something related to business. I believe simple things can end up making all the difference; I did not specify a particular kind or amount of exercise.
