I commented on the striking timing of a red coastline and escalating tensions around Hormuz, calling it “insane timing.” On April 12, 2026 at 13:24 UTC, I wrote: “The world’s most important oil chokepoint turning blood red right as Hormuz tensions explode is insane timing.” I did not specify which tensions I meant.

I quoted @Rainmaker1973, who attributed the coastline’s blood-red color to heavy rainfall washing iron-oxide-rich soil into the sea around Hormuz Island, and shared a link. That explanation was theirs; my post did not independently verify it or provide more detail about the tensions.
