# Minnesota Fraud Scandal

I have reacted to reports and claims about alleged fraud in Minnesota, including praise for coverage, a report about local facilities, and criticism of how the issue is framed. Some details here are assertions quoted from other people, not claims I independently verified.

On December 28, 2025, I quote-posted @nickshirleyy’s post about a 42-minute video made by their crew. They described it as exposing Minnesota fraud and claimed they uncovered over $110,000,000 in one day. They called the work potentially their most important, urged people to like and share the video, and called for accountability and an end to fraud. I called the material “wild” and praised its coverage; the captured post provides no supporting details or independent verification of @nickshirleyy’s claims.

On December 29, 2025, I wrote that multiple locals had confirmed they had never seen children in “those facilities” in years. The captured reply does not identify the facilities or the locals, include supporting details, or provide the post it was replying to.

On December 31, 2025, I argued that the Minnesota fraud issue should not be made about Somalians and immigration, because that distracts from what I consider the bigger issue: gross incompetence. I described misplacing funds earned through taxing Minnesota’s hard-working people as “simply awful.” I did not specify which funds, how much was misplaced, who misplaced them, or the details of the fraud issue.

On January 2, 2026, I reacted to a post by @chamath with “Feels like someone let the cat out of the bag” and said things were going to “get wild.” @chamath claimed Minnesota daycares outspent each of the Mag7 in political giving. A passage attributed within that post to Gemini said that, based on federal lobbying disclosures for all of 2024, no individual tech company reached $35 million; it named Amazon, Meta, and Alphabet as the largest industry spenders and said they typically spent $15M–$25M. These were quoted claims, not figures I independently verified; the capture gives no data supporting the daycare comparison or company-level lobbying totals.
