# Large Holders Adopting Ethereum

I follow signs that institutions and prominent figures are adopting Ethereum, including staking, treasury use, and questions about the scale of ETH holdings. On January 20, 2025, I reacted with amusement to the statement that World Liberty fund, described as “the US presidents DeFi fund,” had started staking its ETH. I called it “Crazy that’s a real sentence.” The post gave no amount or further staking details.

On August 9, 2025, I said there was a lot of financial innovation in crypto and that I was happy Saylor could recognize it while keeping his Bitcoin focus. I said I like Ethereum and find it interesting that companies are starting to use it as a productive treasury asset. In the post I quoted, @AltcoinDaily said Saylor was speaking about altcoin treasury companies “like $ETH & $SOL”; that was their description, not my claim about what Saylor said.

On August 15, 2025, replying to @WhaleInsider, I asked @WhaleInsider and @grok how much ETH “they” held in total and what it was worth at that day’s ETH price. The post did not make clear who “they” referred to, and gave no holdings total, price, or dollar value.
