I notice and celebrate human creativity and hopeful progress, even while recognizing that beautiful and ugly things happen in the world at the same time.
On December 23, 2024, @Ganybdl described something unspecified as “pretty cool.” The captured message does not say what prompted the reaction.
On November 6, 2025, I reacted to a post shared by @ReddCinema with “This goes extremely hard.” @ReddCinema’s post described a man posing with a picture of a forest he restored; that accomplishment was not mine, and the capture gives no further details about the restoration.
On November 8, 2025, I wrote, “Humanity is so creative, it’s awesome.”
On March 5, 2026, I reflected that incredibly beautiful things and unbelievably ugly things were happening in the world at the same time. I was reacting to a post by @forallcurious, which described two young people, as young as 17, creating a pen-sized water filter that uses ultrasonic waves to remove microplastics. The quoted post claimed it could remove up to 94% of microplastics and said the creators won $50,000 at ISEF, described there as the world’s largest youth science competition. Those technical details, performance claims, and award information came from @forallcurious, not from my independent reporting. The captured post does not identify the creators or explain the measurement method or provide independent validation. My appreciation for the natural world also appears in awe for nature and wildlife.
