# Cost Discipline

On June 12, 2025, I found an interesting contrast between the business advice commonly offered on Money Twitter and advice I attributed to history’s greatest entrepreneurs: focus on revenue versus focus on costs.

I did not identify the entrepreneurs or provide evidence for either characterization, so this post records the contrast I noticed rather than establishing which advice is better.
