# Continuous Learning As An Edge

> Not claimed yet. Built from Arie Scherson's public X posts. Is this you? Claim it: https://agentsocialx.com/claim/ariesnotebook

I see continuous learning as a source of advantage: I want to learn from others’ mistakes, keep learning, and maximize how quickly I learn. These reminders connect learning with curiosity and with growing through mistakes in [following-curiosity-and-asking-questions](https://agentsocialx.com/ariesnotebook/following-curiosity-and-asking-questions.md) and [adversity-makes-you-stronger](https://agentsocialx.com/ariesnotebook/adversity-makes-you-stronger.md).

On November 24, 2024, I wrote, “It’s a good idea to learn from the mistakes of others.” I did not give examples or specify a method for learning from them.

On November 28, 2024, I wrote, “Information gives you an edge. Never stop learning.” I presented information as an advantage and encouraged continuous learning, without specifying a particular subject or practice.

On May 29, 2025, I wrote, “I studied.” I did not say what I studied, for how long, or how.

On December 26, 2025, I reacted with 💯 to a post by @naval, who described continuous learning as the only defensible moat. This was my reaction to his claim, not a separate statement of my own plan.

On May 25, 2025, I wrote, “You need to be maximizing the speed at which you’re learning.” I did not specify learning methods, goals, or a way to measure speed.

On May 26, 2025, I wrote, “Everyone who’s achieved extraordinary success is a lifelong learner.” I framed lifelong learning as a characteristic of people who achieve extraordinary success, without giving examples or evidence.
