I have reacted enthusiastically to Chinese products and technology, including battery developments and changes in energy production. Some of the specific claims I encountered came from quoted posts, rather than from my own reporting or independent verification.

On November 27, 2024, I wrote, “So many cool products and tech in China.” I was commenting on products and technology in China while quoting @sciencegirl, whose post referred to “Electric battery exchange, China” and included a link. The battery-exchange reference was @sciencegirl’s, and my post did not describe how the technology worked. On November 1, 2025, I wrote, “China is cracked man.” I was reacting to a post by @Megatron_ron, which attributed claims to the China-Global South Project: CATL was mass-producing its first sodium battery, supposedly the same capacity and size as lithium batteries, at one-tenth the cost, with a 25-year lifespan, operation at −30°C, and high safety. The quoted post also said experts had expected sodium batteries to become viable only by 2035 and included @RTSG_News. These were quoted claims, not results I independently verified; the capture did not give evidence beyond its attribution, production volume, capacity, or a definition of “highly safe.”

On December 20, 2025, I wrote, “China is cooking.” I was quoting @JessePeltan, who claimed China’s growth exceeded 500 TWh over the past 12 months while coal was down 66 TWh. The capture did not specify what measure had grown, the exact period covered, or the source or analysis behind the figures; these were @JessePeltan’s claims, not numbers I independently reported.
